The Chapter have recently been experimenting with a new style of weaponry, the Gun Blades, which are swords or daggers with a pistol or revolver embedded in the blade. Rather than firing a projectile, the gun serves to add extra impact to a thrust of the blade when the trigger is squeezed. As such, only powerful warriors can wield the weapon with any effect, and it is only entrusted to Chapter members who have proven their mettle on the battle field by becoming Recognized in their Gang Reputation. Gang scientists have also developed further upgrades as a reward for members who prove their valor by reaching Distinguished and Emminent reputation. Rumours of extra powerful upgrades carried by other denizens of the hive are as yet unverified.
