<background music - "Jump" by Van Halen>
DEEG: Good morning. April 1st, 2006, and welcome to the first Gangsterz2 podcast. (unintelligible)
Basically, what we're going to try to do is, have a bit of fun with this show, talk about some things going on with the forums, some updates in the game, some different things that you guys want to hear about. Y'know, you guys just send me points of view on things, and we'll discuss that a little bit. We'll maybe get some debates going on, see what people think. Just basically have a bit of fun. We'll play one or two songs of a user-selected nature. Y'know. Generally get it going like that. Don't know how often it's going to be yet. Maybe once a week, maybe twice a week, depending how popular. But I think it'll go pretty well to be honest. I mean the radio when it started Before had twenty to thirty users when it was well-advertised, but that really was a bit hard to do, you know, getting people tuning in on Saturday nights. It's hard getting the right people online, and having all that stuff sorted out, so I think this one should be a bit better.
First song is Van Halen with "Jump", selected by me, because really, no radio show is complete without it.

DEEG: Transformers rock.
Anyway, listening back to what I recorded before, Y'know just the intro bit, I realized kind of how much my voice does suck. So Y'know maybe this isn't such a good idea. Maybe it is and maybe I'm just too judgmental of my own self. Anyway, something first that is a pretty big shock, you know. The players tend to rant about stuff all the time, and you know you're entitled to do that and I'm not against that.
But the staff generally don't rant about many things, but one thing that's really annoying - I know, the other staff know - is when people (Pm'ers) and come on sidechat and just ask for disfavor. I mean, what is the point? It wastes our time, and then the same people then come complain that we do nothing. Well, you know, shut up. To be honest, it's not very good, but I'm sure some of you have your reasons. Y'know, maybe it's a little bit of Insecurity, Or you're aren't that feeling popular enough so you need to make a bit of a scene. I dunno. I'd pretty much like to know why some of you do it, so if you can just tell me about that, and I'll maybe try and support your view.
Anyway, one thing we're going to try to do on these shows is, like, feature a gang, like y'know, talk about some of the upcoming gangs, some of the gangs that are already about, maybe not looking for members, but just, y'know, give them a mention because a lot of people seem to feel a bit left out now. So, y'know, looking in the forums one of the things that I've noticed is this TrueDemon's new gang, "United Nations". It promises, like, a total new rank system, y'know like games, y'know an active community, not mandatory donations, stuff like that, but y'know it'll be interesting to see where that goes. Y'know, see if it is what it promises, y'know; see where it goes. Y'know. Do the general stuff like that. Y'know, y'know, if you want a gang to be on here in this part of the show, you can email me. Tell me what you want me to include-- what you want me to say. I obviously won't lie. Y'know, do the general stuff.
Whether it's got members or not, y'know there's a lot of good gangs out there that simply, like, try and have a user restriction, try and y'know decide on the members that they have in, but a lot of people seem to overshadow this now with one- and two-people gangs, and the Y'know the gangs with like seventy people, and it just gets a bit out of hand. It's like one extreme, and there's another, and there's no general "there because they're there" gangs. I think one of the interesting points in this though is that people complain that there's too many gangs in the system, that there's too many people doing this, that there's too many new players starting up gangs. But really, if they're paying credits, y'know if they're saving up and they want to do it, there's no one to stop them to be honest Y'know. But if any of you have any views on that, y'know email me, Deeg@gangsterz2.net, and I'll have a little discussion about that sometime in the next show. So anyway, we'll have another song now because I think I've talked a little bit too much with my annoying voice. I think this is a good one to pick: Deathhawk's request of "any System of a Down song" or other bands. But, you know, I don't have many of those on my computer so I think this one should suffice.

DEEG: OK, so, one thing that Primie asked me to talk about was this new gang system that's planned. I mean, I know a lot of you don't understand it, because, well, it's not that confusing, but it's just the whole name change thing, and the different ways of doing things, y'know. Some people just can't get their heads around it. So I think I'll take a minute to explain it. Basically, we take the current gang system. No one loses a gang at all, they're just changed and renamed and called clans Y'know. Nothing changes that way.
Then, the game's divided into like four sections, and when a new user signs up; they're assigned to one of the four areas, and basically if they want to switch to another one they have to pay credits, and inside the gang, the new four gangs, there'll be a whole diplomatic system that they have to upkeep. There'll be a representative for the staff. There'll be... they'll appoint representatives underneath them who they'll keep the gang economically stable and running and all perfectly fine. So there'll be badges, new outfits, and various different things for gangs if it all goes to plan. But it should be very good, y'know.
It sounds like it could add another new layer, y'know add a whole idea of working to keep something stable, rather than just buying stuff and attacking, you know. I think the direction it's going, it sounds, as I said, very very good, but, you know, there's no estimated time for when it should be finished, so, you know, it's just a "up to when", you know, Mr. Big Guy at the top makes it, you know. But, you know-- Oh, I say "you know" all the time by the way. It does kind of get really annoying to listen to myself, but too much of me listening to myself, you know, let's just get this finished and get you listening to it, OK?
Anyway, the whole thing-- I had this something planned about how the accounts are going up rapidly, y'know how we're over 3000 and all this, but I came on this morning and saw the login news about how accounts haven't been deleted for a week or so. So, y'know, you can kind of see how that builds up, and the people who complain about account deletion and how, y'know, maybe we should have a clear-up of all the inactive accounts. You can see how, within a week, there's 700 deleted erm over the past day that have been inactive over the past week, you know, that have gone over the 40 hours thing.
And erm y'know, I think that kind of proves how that, the number of accounts usually stays stable because, the amount of people signing up Just doesn't outweigh the amount of people who don't stay at the game. So yknow, before you complain about account deletion again, take today as an example and see how many people have been deleted in the past few hours. Y'know. Really good-- we've gone under 3000 again, but you know we can work that back up. The Google advertising really, you know, even though the accounts have gone down, does seem to have paid off in some way or another. So I think it's a good sign that the future of Gangsterz is looking bright.
<background music - ???>
There's always like some things to talk about. One thing that was really funny -- Well, I think's really funny -- is Cannon's new sig, the picture of Emperor in the Top 10 Losses for the week, is just, it kind of sums a lot up, you know, the whole way of the whole new Hall of Records thing, the new Weekly Top 10 List, kind of proves how people might in the long run be stronger, but on a weekly basis, they generally have poor records or something, you know. There's a lot of new players that you see at the top of the wins in the week list, and the wins all over. So there's a lot of people who, not necessarily are stronger by level, but the tactics in play in the game, the way that they go about doing things, is maybe a lot more advanced than some of you think, you know. It'll be good to see how the game turns out in a few months, maybe when a few people are avatars, when a lot more people are higher-levelled, you know. It'd be good to see a lot more some pretty good fighting going on.
Anyway, so that's pretty much all I've got to say today, you know. Let's see how the first show goes. We'll have erm a final request, I think, by another staff member. You can guess who it is. I'll give you a hint: he makes graphics for the game, and he wants X-Japan with Silent Jealousy. So I think we'll play that for him, because once again, it's another favorite song of mine, and I can't give in to listening to favorite songs of mine you know. So pretty much a winner there. I'll appreciate feedback on how this show's gone, whether you've enjoyed it, whether you think someone else should speak instead of me and I should just sit here and do all the clicking about, getting people to record it. You know. And yeah. Any comments, any funny quotes, or anything in the game, any funny things that you think should be brought up, generally just drop me an email and we'll just get some on the show. See you next time.
