Every 15 minutes, a portion of the Legacy population is revived, or brought back to full health. Revives are essential for PVP, as offline players and abandoned accounts can be injured to gain experience. The term "revive" can be used to mean either this event, or to reviving in general.

Missing the Revive

If you know that you will not be around for the next time the game will revive your character, you have the option of "missing the next revive," which you can do by going to Options > Account Options and then clicking the "Miss Next Revive" button. By doing this, the game will not revive you the next time you were supposed to and therefore no one will be able to kill you and add to your loss count.

Alternatives

The systematic revives are not the only way to revive your character. Alternatives include paying to revive yourself at the Hospital, or by using a Revival Kit from your Inventory.

Reviving yourself using the Hospital will give you 6 minutes of protection from other players, or until you defeat 3 players, whichever comes first. Using a Revival Kit will also give you 6 minutes of protection, but will cease after only 1 win. The Hospital may give more protection as far as wins go, but the Hospital is closed between 9AM and noon as well as 9PM and midnight, whereas Revival Kits can be purchased from the market or found as a hunting drop and used at any time.

A third alternative is voting for Legacy and using some of your voting points to revive yourself. The advantage of doing this is that you can do it at any time of the day and is free, unless you do not want 4 of your voting points going towards reviving yourself instead of getting you 400 extra turns.

The advantage of using one of these alternatives is that they are much more convenient than waiting around for your character to be revived by the system, plus they offer protection. However, you must pay to use the Hospital or a Revival Kit, and reviving using voting points cost 400 potential turns, whereas being revived by the system is completely free.

Taking Advantage of the Revives

As mentioned above, these revives are good times to attack other players rather than spending credits by hunting because many players are revived at these times and you can easily rack up wins by searching for players right as the revives take place.

Revives in G2V1

In the original version of Gangsterz 2, revives didn't just revive a small portion of the players, but ALL of them. As can be imagined, this caused tremendous lag because everybody would try to rush to get a few wins before everybody else was injured. Often it took several seconds to load a single page during the revives, occasionally it even took several minutes to load a page! It wasn't until towards the end of G2V1 that revives began to be split up in efforts to control the lag.
