DEEG: Good morning, good afternoon, wherever you are. 4th of April 2006, and you're listening to the first official Gangsterz Radio, but the second one overall. So, I promise you guys I'll edit out all the "y'know"s in this show just for you. Let's enjoy it.

<"The A Team Theme" by Mike Post>

DEEG: (falsetto) Newsflash: Today on Gangsterz2, Doddsyboi the forum admin is looking for a new moderator to moderate his forums for him.

Anyway. So anyway- I did it again. This is the second time I've tried to record this without saying "anyway" about five times. But anyway. Doddsyboi is looking for a new forum moderator to do his job for him, 'cause sadly, one of the moderating team did have to get fired. (coughs) So basically, if you want to moderate the forums, or if you think you'll bring something to the moderating team on Gangsterz2.net, feel free to PM him, or PM me, with your application stating what you'll bring, you know, what your previous moderating traits are, what you think you can do what the forums, and basically how well you think you'd be at the job. Aside from that, I'll play you another TV theme tune as I think of what to do in today's show. See you in a minute.

DEEG: OK, so I think we'll start off with reading a couple of em-- no, well, I think we'll start off by reading the only email I've had since the last show. It's from Loki -- I think that's how to pronounce his name. If it isn't, give me a bell!

"Loki here. Just listened to your show. I think it's awesome -- can't wait for the next one. Don't worry about your voice dude. It's just fine the way it is-- nice and calming to listen to. I have to agree with you about the rant, sister, it's really annoying and I can't understand why anyone would want to have disfavor just for the hell of it, either.

Honestly, what annoys me to hell though is spam. It has its place, but not on the main forums! I love the new gang idea. Really hope it gets implemented sometime soon. I absolutely love G2 because of the politics and economy it presents. This is really what makes it stand out among the other games like this out there. Mind if I re--"

No, you can't request a song. Boo!

"Thanks for your time, Loki."

So it raises a good point there y'know. Spam, spam, and more spam is all that appears on the forums every day. And really, there's nothing, like I said in the last show, no debates going on, no real meaty things. So if some of you spamwhores can take the time out to scroll down the page and click "Spam Forum" instead of "Main Forum" or "Gang Forum" or whatever it is. Just think about that, and then maybe when you use the Main Forum we can progress with some good discussions which can develop the game and maybe some things in it. But another thing that calciomoti -- I think that's how you pronounce it, I always thought it was "calkiomoti" (sounds much nicer but whichever way you swing, dude) -- let's just talk about the email he sent. Very brief, it was mainly a song request, but one thing he did say at the top is:

"I would like to hear about the current situation of revives. What are the plans to change, if any, and the possibilities for the future future of Player-Versus-Player in the game."

Well, y'know, really, there's not many many things going on in terms of developing "one player fights another player" that I know of. I'm not giving away anything on this show. Don't try and ask me questions that I'll slip up one day when I'm a bit hung over and tell you everything. Because really, the way Zorg works is that, he'll have an idea, probably a few years ago. And he just takes his time to get doing it. You know, I asked him for this radio bit and it took him a good two days to do it. So, erm.. basically, the future of the game, when you think about it, at the minute the revives only revive a couple of hundred people, I think it is, at the most a revive. Or it might even be a lot lower than that, I don't know. But when you think about it, if the game develops and we, say, get ten thousand players, it will be a lot more people reviving at these specific times. And the problem is, as far as I'm led to believe, that lags the server, or whatever, is the amount of people online trying to do the same thing at the same time. If, like, there was a hundred odd people online, and one was in the forums, one was in the gang, one was attacking someone, one was doing this, it won't be as much of a problem as everyone refreshing the page at the same time and attacking everyone. And I'm sure everyone kind of understands this already but, you know, when people complain about how something doesn't work, or they don't like the new revive system because they've not levelled since, well, you have to look in the long-run how it's beneficial to the game. I mean, a lot of you know the lag was really quite unbearable. I mean I didn't even log in from about a half an hour before to a half an hour after the revives just so that I missed it completely. But you know, when you can just openly stay online now and not even notice when a revive happens, it's just so much more peaceful. And I suppose, yeah. I suppose that's really all there is to say on that. It just makes everything run a lot smoother. And if you do it right, and when we get enough players, it will be quite a good system because you'll have constant hourly floods of people reviving but you won't have mass amounts of people online trying to kill them. You know, if you want to make a revive also, imagine the other scenario of having a lot of people. It solves the "I can't get on at 12AM/PM to Y'know take part in the revive". There might be 500 people reviving at whatever time zone you're in. You can just get online, kill em all. Problem over. And you know, I've spent a good two or three minutes talking, so that's pretty much it. I need to go get a glass of water. I think we'll have -- no, I'll tell you what. I'll let him do it.

ZORG: Hi, I'm Zorg, creator of Gangsterz2, and this is Social Distortion with "Reach For The Sky".

<"Reach For The Sky" by Social Distortion>

DEEG: So. I'll just explain a little bit about what today's show is about, because I don't want to mislead any of you guys by thinking we'll have one on a weekend and one at the end of the week. The only definite one that I'm going to be having is the Saturday and/or Sunday one. Because it's pretty hard, I mean, you wouldn't believe that I've been recording now for 53 minutes, and I've done this take in particular about five times now. And I should just do a blooper show or something. So, I've been talking to calciomoti -- I think that's how you pronounce it, once again, don't know. This is his second mention in the show. Just, we might do a blooper show in the summer when we get about 5 thousand more.Erm... so yeah, we're not going to always have a Tuesday or Wednesday show, this is just to iron out some little technicalities with the last one, for example the voice being too low, and also because I was pretty much desperate to do another one by now. But I'm sure you won't mind too much if you have to wait another couple of days, or if you have to be forced into hearing me again in under a week. I dunno.

Anyway, in Sector 3, Zorg's put up this lovely thing, which -- I didn't expect something as good as this, but I know it's not just for me, it's for all you guys out there (the 284 listeners since April 1 st 2006, of the first show) -- a nice little radio station in Sector 3 with a radio forum and a button, which says "Message Deeg". And the advantage of this button is basically that you guys can post what you would post in the forums, but instead you can click the link and message me, and I'll ignore it anyway. That's pretty much it, so you can go have a snoop around there, go in the Radio forum and request some songs. They will all get played. They have to be of my music tastes, something I'm willing to have on my computer, something I can sit through for three or four minutes while editing the show. Generally, if it's something that I don't like, it's not going to be on the show. But we might have the odd allowance from time to time as you can see. I put up a request competition. Whoever can guess my age to the nearest month, using the picture -- I think the winner was Primie. I don't know if he knows that yet, but he was the winner, so he gets to request one song on the next show. I'll definitely play whatever it is.

So. Yeah. I don't know what else to talk about. However, one thing that I did say I would do, is do a weekly gang sort of thing. Just someone from -- a gang leader PMs me, wants content about their gang in the show, whether they're accepting new members, whether they're not, and I'll do a little talking about them. I'll put in what they want me to put in except for, you know, "Oh my god we have the highest-level man and we is like, strongest, and we's gonna kick your ass." Because we all know that that's -- it pretty much doesn't count at the minute. I mean, there's no -- when I say this, don't take it that I'm saying that there is going to be a gang war in the future, because I don't really know much about that.

But, you know, if there is, it's not even necessarily going to go by levels or go by, y'know, money in the bank or anything. It's actually going to go on forum posts. Just to straggle you on a little bit there, but forum posts don't count in the spam forum, so if you're going to spam, spam in there. Highlight that point, once again.

So. Oof. I'm just going to die. I'm just going to sit here, and shoot myself on the second radio show, so all of you can hear it. And then I will laugh while this records, and it never gets put online. And that would just suck.

Yeah, so anyway! Calciomoti's second mention in the show, I think it might be the third; I don't know but I definitely mentioned him in something I just deleted. He wanted me to include his gang, Shiroi Samurai (tell me if I haven't pronounced that correctly). He wanted me to include his gang in the first show, and he's the only person to PM me about this, but you know, since he's the only person, I think I'll include it.

He says that they offer many things, which (I'm not being sarcastic when I say this)-- they offer many things and there seems to be a lot of game-based stuff. They have games within the gang, and they have a collaboration of other gangs joining in a Texas Hold 'Em poker tournament, which they do once a week, and everyone throws in 100 credits into the pot. I think that's just to play. But, you know, I bet that's done on an offsite poker thing, or something, I don't know. Anyway, so everyone puts 100 credits in. I think the winner must get it all? I don't know. Or the winning gang, or something. They have trivia questions in the gang forum, they also have a large and powerful active gang, which, y'know, I just said something about how the level doesn't really matter, but if you're going to be in a gang, you know, the main aim, as I see it, is to get the whole gang working together, and get levelled up, and get it as a strong unit, if you like, whether it's a unit of ten people or a unit of fifty people or whatever. You know, just a unit that works together, doesn't have anything wrong with it, and that should be fine. They also have a required donation every week of 400 credits, but you know, they provide the entire expense of new equipment for players, so I suppose if you're paying 400 a week, I mean, if you level up -- say you're level 10 and you've just put 400 in. Within two weeks you're going to be level 15, and that's a couple of thousand credits that they're going to pay out for you to buy new equipment. I guess that's the way it goes. Sounds pretty good to me. I mean, a lot of people are against the forced donation thing and they're like, you know, "I don't want to pay this to be in a gang when I can go to another one and get exactly the same." But really, you know, you've got to go into the gang and see what it's like, even if you go in for one week, 400 credits, to me, I mean, I know my bank's 478,499 credits. But you know, if you go in, you can just have a ponder around, see what it's like. Maybe you'll like it a lot more than you think, and it's worth the 400 credits. I mean with the competitions they seem to have, it don't seem bad to me at all.

But I'm not going to be biased against any gang. I'm going to give them all a good talk like this, unless I absolutely despise them, and then they just won't be on the show. So anyway, enough about Shiroi Samurai. They sound very good. They seem well-respected as well. I mean, I know some people have their squabbles against anything really, but Y'know they've been around for a long time and calciomoti is a fairly old player, and he's a high-levelled player himself, so he's not exactly a newb. Yeah. Babbled on a bit there, just pointlessly ranting.

I think that's about two minutes. I think it's about time for another request, don't you? I think Just on the theme of calciomoti, he wanted me to play this song by his homeboy and his wife, I think? I might be wrong on that one. Let's just see. Yes, his wife and his homeboy. His homeboy's called (clucks). No, he's not called (clucks). He's called ... let me just find this... he's called Archnemesis, and the song is called "The Champion". And to be honest, I'm not a huge fan of rap and all this stuff, but I'm a pretty silent hiphop fan. You know, EZ, Snoop Dogg, Dr Dre, the original gangsters. You know. Anyway, we'll play it a bit, see how you like it, give him some feedback on it. I'm sure that's exactly what he wants. See you in a few.

<"The Champion" by Archnemesis>

DEEG: So. Two requests in a show. Who would've expected that? Well, you might've expected it, but I didn't. Because. In the last show we had three. What I mean is, two requests in the middle of the show. The first one was a request, the second one's a request, that one was kind of a request, the next one will be a request. But, you can see what I mean?

Anyway, this is going to be the end of the show, I think, because it's coming up to thirty minutes and by the time I've explained the reason for this it will be half an hour (It's taken me about three hours to record) but I only expected to do these shows fifteen to twenty minutes once a week and, you know, I enjoyed doing the 1st one.

You guys of enjoyed listening to it; I mean lets see how many people have listened to the show. Sector 3... loading...(hums, sighs, grunts) Oh, god, hurry up. What is it, revive or something? Five hours to load a page. What's up with you, you stupid... Sony . It's always Sony. They look so good, you buy them, everything in my house is Sony except for like my Amp and guitars and This speaker. Well its not even a speaker it's a microphone - But anyway. It takes about five hours to do anything for you, and when you've ranted on for about two minutes about how it's not working, it suddenly works and you look like a complete a-hole. So anyway. 284 downloads, and it says April 1st 2006, but the show was only put up yesterday, so that's 284 for the first show in the first day, which is pretty good to be honest. I didn't expect to have anyone listening to me. Which, you know, I am pretty pleased about. Not having an ego or anything, but I am kickass. Uh, and yeah. If you guys enjoy it, and I enjoy sitting here for three hours re-recording myself talking the same rubbish, then why shouldn't I? Anyway, I'll leave you with a request from Pink. Not the stupid girl, who did the song about not being false recently. I mean, what's that about. She does a song about not being false, but yet she has pink hair... and... yeah. The pink hair's enough to be honest. Its not right. Like, not being false means that anything's not fake, and when you think about it, what's a natural color of hair? Brown? Blonde? Ginger? I know "pink" isn't.

Anyway, this is a request from Pink, one of the requested members of the game, and a song by Aerosmith, which always makes me think "Oh yeah, (unintelligible)".
