Badges show other players things about your character. Some of them you have to earn for a number of different things. Other badges are there to represent things such as being a staff member or male/female.
Badges within the game:
Awarded If you made it into the top 10 hunting points for last week. This badge was introduced in G2V2.
Awarded if you made it into the top 10 losses for last week.
Awarded if you made it into the top 10 wins for last week.
Awarded if you made it into the top 10 experience for last week.
Awarded if you made it into the top 10 warfare points for last week. This badge was introduced in G2V2.
Staff Member.
Given if your account age is 200 days old or more. This badge was introduced in Legacy.
Given if your account age is 400 days old or more. This badge was introduced in Legacy.
Given if your account age is 600 days old or more. This badge was introduced in G2V2. This use to be the 200 day badge.
Given if your account age is 800 days old or more. This badge was introduced in Legacy.
Given if your account age is 1000 days old or more. This badge was introduced in G2V2. This use to be the 400 day badge.
Given if your account age is 1200 days old or more. This badge was introduced in Legacy.

This Badge shows you are a member of The Chapter
This Badge shows you are a member of Dark Flame
This Badge shows you are a member of Blade of Dawn
This Badge shows you are a member of Outcasts
When you leave a Gang Your badge is removed until you join another Gang.
In G2V1 badges were awarded for overall standings as opposed to the weekly standings in G2V2. This was changed because of the lag created by generating each of the badges in real time.
Many badges are also related to the banners you receive from certain accomplishments in the game.
