The Terms of Service of Legacy are the basic rules. Abide by them, and players should have no trouble. If any of these are broken, players may find themselves banned or disfavored. The actual in game Terms of Service can be found at the (Terms and Conditions) tab on the Portal page. The Games Rules can be found at the (Game Rules) tab on the Portal Page. Take the time to skim through them briefly, or you may suddenly find yourself suffering under the consequences. Players who break the TOS or Game Rules can be found under the "Banned Players" link located in the Police Station.

Introduction

Everyone who creates an account on Legacy agrees to these terms of service, we reserve the right to change them at any time without notice. Any changes to this document will be posted in game login news. Any violation of these terms may result in deletion or suspension of your account.

1.0 Flame Forum
This forum is for adults only and has a few exceptions to Hunted Cow Terms of Use.

We run a special forum called the 'Flame Forum', this is for adults only. Some of the posts in this forum may be 
deemed offensive and the language used may be of a more mature nature. However, we still will not tolerate
illegal content, spamming or posting of pornographic content. Nor will we tolerate abuse of other players, clans
or voluntary staff members. Taking part in this  forum is optional. 

1.1 Forum Signature
Forum signatures must be a maximum of 400 x 300 pixels in size.

Forum signatures should not exceed 400 pixels in width or 300 pixels in height, this will be judged on the signature
as a whole if it contains a combination of images. Not on a per image basis. 

2.0 Farming/Funding Accounts
Accounts may not exist to fund others and groups may not work together to cheat the system.

Accounts may not exist solely to fund another with any form of in-game currencies. You may not use your account
to give experience to another by removing items, reviving at request or leaving gangs then rejoining. You also are
not allowed to help enemy gangs gain warfare points or territory in the wasteland. All participants in such activity will be punished. 

3.0 Gang Leadership
When you are put in charge of a gang you must act in that gangs best interests.

Those who participate in the leadership of our four gangs (everyone of rank 11 or higher) must always act in their gangs
best interests. Any actions taken to sabotage the gang, kick members without reason or take over ruling councils for
enemy gang motives will be dealt with by staff members. 

3.1 Espionage/Corruption
Some exceptions to the above rule are detailed below.

Exceptions to the above rule are as follows. Having people in enemy gangs spy on them irrelevant of rank and plots 
to gain power in gangs for personal gain (not enemy gang motivated) will not be stopped by staff. However, both may
be met with harsh response by gang leadership if discovered. 

Legal Terms

The following are the legal terms covering the content of our website and services we provide. Any violation of these terms may result in legal action against you.

Property Rights
We are the owner or the licensee of all Intellectual Property Rights ("IPR's") on our Sites, and of the material published on it. All such rights are reserved. Our status (and that of any identified contributors) as the authors of material on our sites must always be acknowledged. You must not use any part of the materials on our sites for commercial purposes without obtaining a licence to do so from us or our licensors.

Personal Safety
Whilst we reserve the right to monitor and take action if any of our Sites are used inappropriately (including the posting of objectionable material on the chat facility or otherwise), we cannot promise that any our Sites won't contain such content or that we will remove / modify any particular content. Nor can we guarantee that users will comply with our terms and conditions or otherwise behave appropriately.

If you are the victim of offensive or inappropriate behaviour or receive any other unwanted communications, you should report all inappropriate behaviour to as well as seeking appropriate external help, for example from parents or law enforcement authorities. If you continue to suffer problems, or are not satisfied, then you must stop using our Websites.

Player Accounts
Hunted Cow reserves the right in its sole discretion to modify or discontinue the service or modify the terms and conditions of players' access to the service, with reasonable notice to players. In such cases, we reserve the right to terminate your account or transfer it to another game on one of our Sites. If You have a subscription You will be eligible to receive a refund on a pro-rated basis. All the accounts created are the property of Hunted Cow Studios Ltd.

The player agrees to indemnify Hunted Cow Studios Ltd. against liability for any use of their account including (but not limited to) reasonable administrative and legal costs. You may terminate your account with us anytime by email. If you have a subscription you must email us and your account will be terminated at the end of the month that you have currently paid for.

Material Uploads
Any material you upload to our sites will be considered non-confidential and non-proprietary, and we have the right to use, copy, distribute and disclose to third parties any such material for any purpose. We also have the right to disclose your identity to any third party who is claiming that any material posted or uploaded by you to our sites constitutes a violation of their intellectual property rights, or of their right to privacy.

Conclusion

This is a free game, we pay money so you can play for free. Follow our rules and play in a sociable manner and you will have no problems. Those who set out to disrupt our game will be banned and removed without compromise.
