The Ability System was a system originally designed by Zorg to replace the old avatar skill system while giving older players a slight edge over newer players. It is only available to players who are at least level 20 or higher.

Abilities are first purchased from the "Hall Of Knowledge" Located in Sector 1. Newly acquired abilities can be found under the Abilities tab located in Information. Abilities are trained by using "ability points" which are gained at a rate of +5 per hour.

Some abilities such as phasing and summon use focus. The focus meter can be found under the HP bar on the left of the page. Focus Regenerates at a rate of +5 every minute.

-Allows use of the /radiance command in the wasteland to make yourself invulnerable to damage for a full minute. Needs a minimum of 40 focus, will empty focus bar. Cannot attack, move, or use any other abilities while active. Moving ends the ability

Travel Unseen

-Display's your location on the Online Now list as 'Stealth' to all but avatars with Astral Vision

Hide

-Allows you to use the /hide command in the wasteland. Lasts for 2 to 10 ticks depending on the Ability level. Has a 20 minute cooldown. Cannot attack, move, or gain control while active.

-Travel Unseen

Expert Hiding

-While hidden (not cloaked) No exposure is gained.

Prerequisites:

-Stealth Study

-Warfare Study

-Travel Unseen

-Hide

Mirage

-You will display as 'Unknown(??)' to anyone who glances your way, except friendly gang members.

Prerequisites:

-Stealth Study

-Warfare Study

-Avatar Study

Cloak

-Works the same as hiding, but you retain the ability to move and has no cooldown. Must spend 5 minutes of focus, then 5 minutes are free. After those 5 minutes, it costs 10 focus per tick (decreases 2 points per ability level). Focus regen stops. Also unlocks black eye's.

Astral Vision

-Gives a chance to see invisible avatars as ghostly figures when they enter your area. Chance increases with ability level. Allows one to see though 'Travel Unseen'. Unlocks clear White Avatar eyes.

Scan Area

-At a cost of 30 focus points you '/scan' your area for any enemies hiding/invisble.

-Allows use of the '/glance' command in the wasteland to see adjacent squares.

Engineer

-One counts for double when determining repair rate of a structure in the wasteland.

-You count for double when determining capture rate of a square in the wasteland.

Prerequisites:

Astral Phasing

-Allows the use of the'/phase' command to a friendly or neutral square for 5 points of focus per square. Cost decrease 1 point per ability level, to 1 point per square at level 5.

Astral Summoning

-Allows the use of the '/summon' command in the wasteland to summon friendly players to you. Costs 5 points of focus per square, decreasing down to 2 points at level 4.

Astral Blast

-Allows the use of the '/blast' command on enemy buildings for 5 to 10 damage per skill level at a cost of 60 focus. Structure must be next to one of your squares.
