<Mehean> So peaceful.
<Zorg> I'm not tired this time, like I was in 2003 :)

<Questions> JonAce : Are you happy with the progress of Gangsterz 2?
<Zorg> Erm...yeah, little slower than I would like but I only get so much free time.
<Mehean> I'm happy with the progress so far, Although the game isnt exactly where I envisioned it
<Mehean> :)
<Zorg> well when did you "envision" it? back when it was made completley differently, 
under a different name, on a different server, with a different scripting language?
<Mehean> LOL I mean  that theres more stuff that could be added that we are waiting 
for you to get laid off or something to do :)
<Mehean> The games in good working order now I think.
<Zorg> I did so much more work when I had no job distracting me and filling my pockets with money *sigh*
<Questions> Deeg : What major additions do you plan to make to the game in the coming months?
<Mehean> Hunting most definately.
<Mehean> What else do you have in mind?
<Zorg> I'm not gonna make any future plans for major additions...
<Zorg> I make plans I underestimate how much work they require and then people start complaining
<Mehean> Thats how people are though, unfortunately.
<Zorg> One sec lets take a read from my trusty "To-Do Book" ...and yes it is a whole book

<Zorg> class system...bah that one is gonna take some working out
<Mehean> A class system would be a huge undertaking. Most of the game would probably need redone for that.
<Zorg> automated weekly lottery...that should be fun, would take a bit of work though
<Mehean> That would be really cool :)
<Zorg> Split Gang CP in to pages....lol yeah I am really gonna have to do that one soon
<Mehean> I bet the big gang's CPs are crazy long.
<Zorg> Friends List....ah yes, forgot about that. Still not given it much thought though
<Zorg> oh well enough reading from that book
<Mehean> I personally dont see the advantages to that.  Your friends should be in your gang! :)
<Questions> Nicto10 submitted the exact same question as Deeg...
<Mehean> I guess they wanted to make sure you would see it :P

<Questions> daleboi : is there eva gunna be a way of getting rewards for voting for gangsters2 
on such sites as apex and twg?????

<Zorg> for voting on mpogd.com if I get it working right yeah
<Mehean> More like you were sending me messages and I was playing BF2 :P
<Zorg> My plan as I have it so far is as follows....
<Zorg> you vote on MPOGD you get a free revive, you can only vote once a day of course..
.and if we get in to the top 10 I double the exp the whole game gets from fights for 2 days as a reward
<Mehean> That sounds like a good plan.

<Questions> antistrat : what kind of misc items are you thinking of making in the future?
<Mehean> The Sonic Care Holy Toothbrush!
<Zorg> That will come with the hunting system hopefully....the delay with that is the
 huge amount of time it takes to make items and balance them, I had not planned for
<Zorg> But lets see, in general they will be stat increasing. One I have already made
 is a Police Riot Shield, but I have plenty of ideas for other items yet.
<Mehean> That riot shield is pretty cool.
<Zorg> have you been haxxoring my item database again Mehean?
<Mehean> You showed me it! :(
<Zorg> oh...yeah
<Mehean> I have done no haxxoring..I am innocent :P

<Questions> Frost : How will the training system work?
<Zorg> *cough* Hunting System
<Mehean> Good question.  I dont even know the answer to this.
<Mehean> You might want to get that cough looked at.  It doesnt sound too healthy.

<Zorg> You will choose a group to hunt, for example Sewer Rats....Police....
Thugs and you will fight them much the same as you fight players. Choose a level, and attack. Each has a
 cost in c redits based on their level
<Zorg> Gets quite expensive at the top end
<Zorg> You also get a little less exp from these fights
<Mehean> But it should always be worth the money because the mob you are killing might drop an item you cant buy :)
<Mehean> Thats true, but there will always be someone for you to go pick on.  Thats always a good thing.
<Zorg> But they also have a chance to drop items, such as those found in the hospital...
and quite a few special items only found in the hunting system
<Zorg> Just to give a few examples, Grenades...Knuckle Duster...oh and there is a weapon more powerful 
than the Plasma Rifle thrown in there
<Zorg> very hard to find though
<Questions> FatTony : Is it possible to have the jobs sped up, as there is nothing to do such
 as read forums, I tend to just walk away?
<Mehean> Come on online chat!  I'm always so lonely in here.. and it gets boring :(
<Zorg> You can always come chat in Online Chat...
<Mehean> Sometimes the only person I have to talk to is Jupiter :(
<Nicto10> Yes it can get quite lonely here. :(
<Zorg> I tried letting people use the forums while working but it either means you end up with 2 windows
 which is messy or a very buggy count down for your job
<Zorg> Once all systems are complete and we leave Public Beta testing....there should be so much to do 
here I will decrease job times though

<Questions> GLOOMIES : In case last question no good/too personal...Have you thought about a way so
 occasionally low levels can beat high levels?

<Zorg> Yes there is a way low levels can beat high levels....level up
<Nicto10> But then they are not low levels anymore.
<Zorg> we would soon get more
<Mehean> That sounds like a personal problem that they will need to work out for themselves.  Its all mental :P
<Zorg> There will always be hundreds of level 1s, it is just my fear that one day they will unite and destroy us all

<Zorg> Nina....that name brings back terrible memories of an MUD I used to play
<Zorg> all I can say is when it is finished, I have given up telling people times and then failing to
 meet them :) you will just come on one day...and there it will be
<Mehean> Sounds like a plan.

<Questions> Frost : What were the pains caused by the random revive times? :P

<Zorg> They were never random
<Zorg> we had them rotate aroudn the clock...every day moving forward an hour at one point
<Mehean> What happened to that?
<Zorg> the pains with that? erm...
<Zorg> sometimes they stopped rotating
<Zorg> sometimes they rotated too quickly and revived 2 hours in a row
<Zorg> sometimes they went AWOL and everyone was wondering why it was 2793 hours untill the next revive
<Zorg> the list goes on, they were somewhat unstable lol
<Nicto10> Yes but as you once said...

<Questions> Jkjace : What gender is Jupiter?  If Jupiter is a woman will she marry me?

<Questions> Skorne : Do you know if there will ever be any more gang features. Not specifically gang warfare,
 so people actually feel a need to be in gangs.
<Zorg> ....hmm
<Zorg> like what? :/
<Mehean> I would think people would want to be in gangs for protection.
<Zorg> Soon everyone will want to join gangs to see my great page scripting seperating the gang members in to groups of 10!
<Zorg> We will see about that one anyway

<Mehean> Are there even any Misc items in the game?
<Zorg> only one and you can't get it yet
<Questions> cheeza : is the lag getting worse or better? what about disableing midi's through out the whole game? 
<Mehean> Why are they so fixated on stuff they cant get? :)
<Zorg> hmm...
<Zorg> better
<Zorg> and if profiles lag due to midis I am afraid that is your computer not ours, your welcome to 
disable them in options...but I will not be doing any such thing server wide
<Zorg> I can only help lag so much though...I made attacking and player searching run much faster
<Zorg> but now people simply attack and search quicker, the server load remains the same
<Nicto10> If everybody switched to the classic game template it would help...
<Zorg> not really
<Zorg> the lag is from processing requests to and from the database to the scripts.
...nothing to do with templates or midis
<Zorg> I was on during the last revive though and it was good enough for me, more than playable

3 takeover thing and the hospital thing, or are these just permanent changes which wont   evolve?
<Mehean> if anyone else has a question to ask, now is the time to do it
<Zorg> they are not permanent....occasional changes will come, but an in depth storyline I doubt will ever take place
<Mehean> No more questions :)
