Staff favor is a tool used by staff to deal with minor offences or offences not covered in the ToS; it is also used to reward players for good behavior (eg. helping staff or other players). The default setting for staff favor is 0; it goes down for bad behavior and up for good behavior. The effects of favor are reduced over time; it reverts back to 0 by .5 per day.

The effects of favor are as below (the following chart can also be found by clicking on the favor bar on any player profile):

Favor Level : +1 o Daily tokens increased by 25.	Favor Level : -1 o Change to character appearance.
Favor Level : +2 o Daily tokens increased by 25. o Half Job time when working.	Favor Level : -2 o Change to character appearance. o Disabled Forums and Side Chat.

Your character design gets temporarily replaced by a frog when you are disfavored. Disfavoring is sometimes referred to as 'frogging'. With the spectral Items you get turned unto a purple frog!

Before Update 1.7.00 If somebody got favored/disfavored or even banned, a System message appears on Side Chat, like the one below.

However Now it shows in the Combat Log like the image above.
Note: One of the most important things to remember about favor: "If you do things expecting staff favors you will not get one." - Zorg

Not only is asking for a positive favor highly frowned upon, players in the past asking for favor have, in some cases, been met with bans.
